Forty-five years of Utah craft.

Scenic View Landscape has been quietly shaping the Wasatch Range since 1981, one yard, one season, one family at a time.

LeRoy and Barbara Larsen, founders of Scenic View Landscape

Our founder

LeRoy Larsen, founder.

LeRoy Larsen was born and raised in Salt Lake City. As a young boy, the widows in his ward all wanted LeRoy, for his landscaping skills.

"My love for landscaping started back when I was a kid, probably twelve or thirteen years old. I always got volunteered to work at all the old widows' houses in our ward. My mom and dad always taught me to do a good job. They never had some of the other boys come back, it was always a war between the widows in the ward to have LeRoy come and take care of their lawn."
— LeRoy Larsen

Shortly after marrying Barbara, his high school sweetheart, LeRoy founded Scenic View Landscape in 1981.

"I wanted to provide for my family so that Barbara could stay home with our children."

Our mission

What drives us to be Utah's best landscape company.

Our mission and core values are not a poster on the wall. They are the standard every crew member, designer, and foreman is measured against, on every property, every day. They are the reason clients come back to us decade after decade, and the reason our team stays.

We create and maintain beautiful landscapes.

We earn our dependable and trustworthy reputation.

We believe in our team members and encourage long-term careers, enabling them to reach their goals.

The equipment we use is essential. We take care of it as an essential part of our team.

Core values

The ten standards that shape every job.

These values are not optional. We expect every employee, from crew members and designers to foremen and managers, to carry them into every yard, every client conversation, and every decision. They are how we represent Scenic View Landscape, how we treat one another, and how we earn the trust our clients have given us for over four decades.

The crew behind the craft

Great landscapes are built by great people.

This is the heart of Scenic View Landscape. Day after day, season after season, these are the men and women who show up early, work hard, and treat every property like it belongs to family. From intricate hardscape installs to careful maintenance visits, their pride and skill are what turn a design on paper into a landscape you can live in.

We are grateful for their dedication, their character, and the way they represent our values on every job site across the Wasatch Range.

Water-wise native plant landscape

Sustainability

A real commitment to water-wise design.

Utah is the second-driest state in the country, and we design with that reality at the center of every plan. Our water-wise installs use native and drought-tolerant species, smart hydrozoning, drip irrigation, and high-efficiency controllers, typically reducing outdoor water use by 30–60%.

We're QWEL-certified, our designers include Utah State University Master Gardeners, and we maintain a working palette of Utah-native plants we love to specify.
